With the implementation of the new primary English curriculum in Hong Kong, Longman has been busy not only publishing materials in accordance with the guidelines outlined by the Curriculum Development Council, but we have also been providing training to over 400 attendees on how to conduct reading workshops.
The Longman Reading to Learn Teacher Training Programme was run once in summer with 162 attendees, and again in the autumn with 242 attendees. The 18-hour programme was made up of the following six workshops:

Professional storytellers from overseas, experienced teacher trainers from HKIEd and the Baptist University, as well as the Longman Curriculum Development Team provided lots of theoretical and practical information, demonstrations, hands-on practice and relevant classroom activities.
All the attendees were very impressed and found the materials very useful for their teaching. Here are some of their comments:
