Longman Storytelling Conference 2007

The Longman Storytelling Conference was successfully held on May 5 & 6, 2007 this year. The theme was: "A Journey to Creativity and Self Development". About 520 teachers from around 280 different schools from the pre-school, primary and secondary level attended the two-day conference and taken away lots of useful teaching tips and inspiration. It's back-to-school time and everyone is busy at this time of year. It's also always an exciting time for students as well as teachers as everyone gets to know each other or get reacquainted.

We hope that the English Reading Website is a place that teachers will visit regularly to find teaching ideas, search for books, or to come and learn about our activities.

Last year we ran the 18-hour Reading to Learn Teacher Training Programme in July and October. This year, we followed this up with three additional seminars: Reading to Learn Seminars: Implementation of Reading Cycles, Developing Multiple Intelligences in the English Classroom and Developing Lifelong Learners through the Five Reading Strategies.
